The report also showed that total net commission income and interest income from securities trading, futures and options trading, leveraged foreign exchange trading, and virtual asset trading increased 13% to HK$45.4 billion, up from HK$40.1 billion in the second half of 2025. Within that mix, commission income reported from virtual asset trading moved in the opposite direction. The figure came in at HK$99.3 million in the first half of 2026, down HK$15.5 million from HK$114.8 million in the second half of 2025.
